Crytek to Enter Virtual Reality Gaming
It was only yesterday when we brought you news on the FeelReal, a Virtual Reality (VR) device that would let you smell the scents of elements you come across in the games you play. Well, now it seems that the VR gaming market has grown bigger with more and more big names in the industry showing their interest in this particularly amazing technology. Take a look at Crytek, for an example. The company has officially declared its interest in the VR technology. In fact, as pointed out by Faruk Yerli, the person in charge as the managing director at the company, the CryEngine will help the company bring an extraordinary VR experience to reality.
Yerli points out that the staffs at the company are, as of the moment, experimenting with the technology. He even goes as far as to claim that the world will only be able to feel the real VR experience using the company’s game engine, the CryEngine. The company also sees a potential for the VR technology to become massively available within the years to come and that it hopes to provide gamers with the most authentic VR gaming experience.
However, when it comes to virtual reality, there has always been one problem that remains, that is the motion sickness. Yet, Yerli claims that Crytek has managed to come up with a solution to overcome this very problem. It is said that the CryEngine has the ability to maximize the technology of the AMD LiquidVR in order to generate lower latency.
Well, as you may have known, Crytek, thanks to its CryEngine, has always been able to produce extraordinary games, especially when it comes to the visual aspect. So, let’s just wait and see what the company holds for the future in terms of virtual reality gaming.
