In case you haven’t heard, the Dubai police fleet is one of the world’s most outstanding police fleets you can possibly come across. Unlike most other police fleets in the rest of this world, the one that belongs to the aforementioned Saudi Arabian city consists of not one but quite a few supercars, even including exotics. Well, as if the fleet is not already remarkable enough, it has now received a new addition and, believe it or not, the new car that receives the honor of joining the Dubai police fleet is the amazing BMW i8 electric vehicle (EV), mind you!
Well, it seems that the police of Dubai do not want to be beaten by their rivals in the police department of Abu Dhabi. Just a couple of days ago, the Abu Dhabi police fleet happened to receive the Rolls-Royce Phantom to add to the collection. Now, as you can see, the i8 from BMW is the answer that the Dubai police are trying to respond with.
Just so you know, the i8 EV from the luxury German automaker, BMW, is going to stand alongside the likes of the Lamborghini Aventador, Aston Martin One-77, Bugatti Veyron, Brabus B63S-700, Mercedes-Benz SLS, Nissan GT-R, Bentley Continental, McLaren MP4-12C, Ferrari FF, Mercedes-Benz SL63 AMG and the BMW M6 Gran Coupe. Heck, the fleet even has the Renault Twizy, which is probably just for fun, though.
Yet, although the Dubai police officers are so blessed with all those super sports cars and hypercars, it is a shame that none of these vehicles is actually going to be used to help the police accomplish their job, to pursue criminals and take them into custody. Instead, all these vehicles are simply going to be used for the promotion of tourist resorts around one of the most populated cities in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Simply put, it’s just too bad…
