The 2011 Toyota Yaris Show Off

Last week, from October 29 to 30, 2011, a pretty huge event was held at Sun Plaza, one of the biggest shopping centers in Medan, Indonesia. The event “Toyota Yaris Show Off 2011” was held by PT. Toyota Astra Motor as the authorized brand dealer of the Japanese car manufacturer, Toyota.
The event lasted 2 days and was full of interesting activities. Body painting competition, Yaris modification contest and coloring contest were just some of the activities to name. In order to entertain the audience that visited Sun Plaza, TAM presented 2 very popular music groups, the Vierra and the Hazelnuts. Vierra were to appear on Saturday, October 29, 2011, while Hazelnuts were to appear the next day.
The event was pretty intense with thanks to the activities and the starring guests. For the 1st day of the event, Reni Matt was assigned the MC of the event while Kathy Natasha would have to be in charge of the event the day after. There were 5 participants in the body painting competition and they took up to 3 hours in painting their model. Fortunately, the results were seemingly satisfactory enough. The themes carried out by the participants differ from one another. “Techno”, “High Tech” and “Techno ‘Batik’” were a few of them.
Besides painting their model with some abstract images, the participants also embedded the Toyota and Yaris emblems which seemed to be included in the requirements to show up as a winner in the event organized by Toyota.
The event was also very exciting because while the participants, and perhaps the audience, were waiting for the announcement on who would come up as the winner in the body painting competition, they were free to look over all those modified Toyota Yaris that participated in the Yaris modification contest. Better yet, the audience could even take pictures with the car girls assigned to pose themselves next to the Yaris they represented.
All those modified Toyota Yaris were surely some eye candies. Unfortunately, the event “Toyota Yaris Show Off 2011” lasted only a couple of days. However, if you haven’t had the chance to visit the event yet, don’t be upset since we have prepared the images of the participating cars and, of course, there are also some pictures of the models themselves.
