Italy Invents Its First Supercar

An Australian car manufacturer has just recently launched the first local made supercar.
The supercar, which is also an electric car, is the first to be invented by the country and is known as the evR450. It was launched for the first time in an electric vehicle conference that took place in Brisbane recently. The Australian supercar has been invented by Varley Electric Vehicles, a company that has invented a countless number of vehicles during its 25 years of experience in the automotive industry.
The manufacturer claims that this first Australian electric vehicle is capable of going at the speed of 60 mph from a complete standstill in just 3.8 seconds. Yet, the top speed is claimed to reach 124 mph, that is because it is electronically limited. Featuring an electric engine, Varley Electric Vehicles claims that this car will run as far as 150 km. Yet, if combined with the optional package, this car is said to be able to run as far as 300 km.
Sales of the evR450 will start next year with a base price of AUS$200,000. John Bettini, manager Varley Electric Vehicles, proudly mentioned that this car would have started hitting the roads of Queensland, Australia, from January 2012 on.
