“Back to the Future” Delorean Sold for Over $500,000

Some of the funds go to the Michael J. Fox Foundation to help with Parkinson research.
If you have a sum of money worth over $500,000 – $541,200 to be exact, what will you buy? A luxury sports car? A house? Likely, but not with the one who used it to buy a classic Delorean DMC-12 featured in the classic “Back to the Future” trilogy. In case you don’t remember, it’s a movie about a young guy called Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox) and a – as a matter of fact, genius – doctor, Dr. Emmet Brown (Christopher Lloyd).
This $541,200 Delorean DMC-12 we’re talking about here is a modified version of the one featured in the trilogy and was sold in an auction in which some of the funds were raised to help with the Parkinson research conducted by the Michael J. Fox Foundation.
What the modified DMC-12 includes in its offerings is a V6 engine from a world renowned German car manufacturer, VW. Being featured in the very well-known trilogy, this car will surely make the owner proud of having it in his garage.
