Toyota Releases Aqua/Prius C Hybrid

Following current hybrid car trend, Toyota releases its hybrid hatchback, the Prius C, known as Aqua in Japan.
According to an automotive analyst at Tokai Tokyo Research Center, Mamoru Kato, with a price tag of 1.69 million Yen (or around $21,700), Toyota is trying to target the young executives looking for a compact hybrid car with a more affordable price tag.
The Toyota Aqua/Prius C Hybrid is powered by a 1,500cc VVT gasoline engine with quite an efficient fuel consumption, up to 35.4 km/l. Paired with an electric motor, this engine is capable of bursting out a total power of 100 hp. Toyota is planning to release this model for the first time in America next year and it’ll be known as the Prius C. Yet, Toyota has yet to officially announce whether they’ll sell the model in Europe as well or not.
