Rufus Cuff – You Can Now Wear Tablet on Your Wrist!
It is the norm today to use a tablet, regardless of who you are, where you are and what you do. As tablet is getting more and more popular by the day, someone has come up with the idea of making sure that you will never leave your tablet at home, by putting it on your wrist! Dubbed the Rufus Cuff, this device may look like a watch with an oversized display panel at first. But no, it is definitely not a watch.
The Rufus Cuff sports a display measuring 3.2 inches and packs quite a lot of features. It comes with a Wi-Fi module, Bluetooth, GPS, front camera – which you can use for either pictures or videos, a TI Cortex A9 CPU and also a 1,175mAh battery. What is also quite interesting is the fact that even though the device runs on the Android KitKat OS, you can use it alongside your iPhone to receive phone calls. For the sake of voice calls, this ‘wrist tablet’ counts on a pair of microphones and a built-in speaker.
According to the Rufus Labs, the company behind the development of the aforementioned product, its device could very well put an end to the smartwatch era and start the era of a wrist communicator. Also, as pointed out by the CEO and co-founder of Rufus Labs, Gabe Grifoni, the Rufus Cuff wrist tablet should be very appealing to those who seek to have a one-stop information center right within their reach.
Gabe Grifoni even told the USA Today that the Rufus Cuff would one day allow people to forget all about their wallets, smartphones, fitness trackers, watches, you name it. For anyone interested in pre-ordering the device that started as an Indiegogo campaign back in 2014, they can do that as of now. The price of the device starts from $249 and goes up accordingly, depending on the chosen capacity of the internal storage. There are at least three choices here, 16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB.
